VOV Content Operating System

One brand.
Two recording modes.

Physical builds the franchise. Virtual keeps the franchise current.

Section 1

Monthly recording rhythm

Week 1

Physical

Flagship Week

Higher-production originals, games, challenges, thumbnails and chemistry-heavy content that only works in the room.

Week 2

Virtual

Reaction Week

Timely music reactions, X/social reactions, internet takes and entertainment news while the conversation is still live.

Week 3

Physical

Flagship Week

Second flagship block of the month: franchise formats, real-world challenges and a fresh thumbnail/promo batch.

Week 4

Virtual

Reaction Week

Close the month current: reactions, hot takes, audience dilemmas and one lighter original if energy allows.

The rule

  • A normal physical meetup should target no more than two major original long-form pieces.
  • Reactions can be added to a physical day, but they should not consume the day.
  • A virtual session should target timely content first, and may add one lighter original format if energy and timing allow.

Physical

One-off exception: this session falls on a Sunday. The normal VOV physical meetup cadence is every other Saturday — Sundays are not the standard.

Flagship original

What Would You Do? — Would You Sacrifice One Person to Save Everyone?

Record the flagship original early, after the technical test and before hosts are exposed to later twists or formats.

Open pilot in Idea Vault

  2. 10:25+00:25

Flagship original: What Would You Do? pilot

Target 30–45 minutes raw recording. Record before hosts see later twists.

  3. 11:10+01:10

    Music reaction block

2–3 priority releases only if material is strong; otherwise drop.

  4. 12:10+02:10

    Break + file verification

Reset the room and verify footage so far.

  5. 12:30+02:30

    Optional second original or game

Only if energy and time justify it; otherwise move to virtual week.

  6. 13:15+03:15

    Optional Internet / X takes

Only if urgent and strong; otherwise save for virtual week.

  7. 13:55+03:55

What Would You Do? thumbnail poses, promo hooks, intros, CTAs and group images.

  8. 14:25+04:25

    Pickups, file verification and backup

Missing lines, verify files, editorial priority.

Session note

This is a session-specific layer on top of the standard physical-week plan below. Use it to lock in the 23 August run-of-show; keep the generic physical plan as the ongoing reference.

Section 5

Recommended physical week plan

  1. 00:00

    Arrival + technical test

Audio, cameras, playback, storage, roles, recording order.

  2. 00:25

    Original Long-Form #1

    Blind Rankings or VOV Court.

  3. 01:10

    Music Reaction Block

2–3 priority releases; do not force extra reactions if material is weak.

  4. 02:10

    Break + file check

Reset the room, verify footage so far.

  5. 02:30

    Original Long-Form #2

VOV Draft, Guess It or Scenario Show — different energy from #1.

  6. 03:15

    Internet / X Takes

Compact block only if material is strong; otherwise save for virtual week.

  7. 03:55

    Thumbnail + short-form asset batch

Expressions, hooks, intros, CTAs, promos, group images.

  8. 04:25

    Pickups + backup

Missing lines, verify files, editorial priority.

Key principle

If social reaction material is not urgent, do not force it into the physical day. The physical meetup is more valuable for content that cannot be recreated remotely.

Section 6

Recommended virtual week plan

  1. 00:00

    Connection + sync test

Audio, camera, screen-share, local recording, backup recording.

  2. 00:15

    Music Reaction Block

    Newest and most time-sensitive first.

  3. 01:05

    Internet / X Takes

Threads, clips, discourse of the week.

  4. 01:50

    Short reset

Quick break, check levels and storage.

  5. 02:00

    Light Original Format

One Has To Go, short Blind Ranking, Tier List or Scenario using screen-share.

  6. 02:35

    Audience / comment follow-up

Respond to comments from previous physical-week episodes.

  7. 03:00

    Close + backup

Clean closings, verify files, note strongest Shorts moments.

Section 8

Quick mode guide

Virtual-first

Music Reactions

Newest releases first. 2–3 priority tracks. Strong first-listen honesty beats volume.

Virtual-first

Internet Takes

Threads, clips and discourse. Record while it is still current or drop it.

Physical-only

VOV Court

Roles, props and cross-examination energy. Flagship slot, never rushed.

Both

Blind Rankings

Shared physical board is the premium version; screen-share is the light version.

Physical-first

VOV Draft

Turn order, banter and reactions. Best as physical original #2.

Physical-first

Guess It

Quiz and buzzer formats. Needs in-room timing and eye contact.

Both

Tier Lists

Portable format. Works in either mode with a clear visual board.

Physical-only

Real-World Challenges

Location, movement and stakes. Only ever recorded when together.

Section 9

The scheduling rule

Do not ask “What can we fit into Saturday?”

Ask “What content is uniquely valuable because we are physically together?”

Record that first. Everything that works just as well remotely can move to the virtual week.
